Touch
We begin with touch. Everyone remains fully clothed, tucked into their own cosy nest on the floor with blankets and cushions, while Meesh and Jamie move gently around the room.
Through intuitive, attuned touch to the feet, hands and head, alongside aromatic oils, subtle energy work and sound, we create the conditions for your body to feel held and safe enough to soften.
Human contact can be incredibly grounding. There is nothing to perform or achieve here. This first part of the day is simply about receiving, settling and allowing your nervous system to drop into a quieter gear.
Breath
From there, Jamie guides you into a two-hour conscious connected breathwork journey, with Meesh alongside her offering support throughout.
This is not about pushing for an intense experience. The breath creates space to listen, notice what is present and allow whatever needs to move to move. You may find clarity, emotion, insight, release, or simply a deeper sense of connection with yourself.
You are gently guided throughout, with plenty of room to follow your own body and your own pace.
Sound
We close the day with a live vocal soundbath led by Meesh. Using voice, layered harmonies and soundscape melodies, she creates a field of sound that you can simply lie back and receive.
There is something uniquely moving about the human voice. After the touch and breathwork, sound offers a different kind of language, giving the body space to settle, absorb and integrate the day.
A restful, spacious ending before you head back out into the world.
Three ways into the body
Each part of Anahata has its own quality, but together they create something more. Touch helps you settle. Breath gives you space to explore. Sound allows everything to land.
You do not need any previous experience of bodywork, breathwork or sound. Just come as you are. We will take care of the rest.
A yurt in the meadow
Anahata is held at Yeo Valley Organic Gardens in Blagdon, just outside Bristol, in a beautiful yurt surrounded by meadow and gardens.
At lunchtime you can eat at the gorgeous cafe on site, or bring your own food and eat outside in the meadow.
Lunch is not included in the retreat price.
We usually eat together at the gorgeous on-site cafe, or you are welcome to bring your own lunch.
Meesh & Jamie
We bring different threads to Anahata, weaving touch, breath and sound together to create a day that feels gentle, spacious and deeply restorative.
Meesh Denny
Meesh is a South Devon based bodyworker, somatic practitioner and musician with more than 20 years of experience working with the body. A fully trained chiropractor, her work has evolved far beyond a single modality, weaving spinal attunement, skilled intuitive touch, nervous system awareness and energetic practices into a deeply responsive way of working. She brings a finely tuned sensitivity to what the body is communicating and creates space for people to soften, release and reconnect with themselves. Alongside her hands-on work, Meesh is a vocalist and musician, creating layered vocal soundscapes that invite deep rest and a different kind of listening.
Jamie Linegar
Jamie is the founder of Anahata, which she created in 2022, and is a Systematic Kinesiologist, breathwork facilitator, Reiki practitioner and meditation teacher based in South Bristol. A lifelong learner with a deep curiosity about the body, health and energy medicine, she brings a natural, generous way of teaching and a real love of sharing what she has learned. Kinesiology profoundly changed the way Jamie understood her own wellbeing and how she could support her family, and that experience continues to shape the warmth and care she brings to her work with others. At Anahata, Jamie brings her calm, grounded presence to the touch sessions and gently guides the conscious connected breathwork practice.
